Sierra serves as Hacienda HealthCare’s vice president of marketing and public relations. Her responsibilities include team leadership for the marketing, public relations, philanthropic development, strategic partnerships, and fund raising for the organization. Sierra received her BS degree in marketing from ASU’s W P Carey School of Business. Sierra started her career with Merrill Lynch as a financial consultant, retired to become a full-time mom, started her own nonprofit for parents, and went back to work after her four children graduated from high school.

Hacienda HealthCare has been a member of the DPCA for many years because a number of children come to Hacienda for long term care due to a non-fatal drowning. A non-fatal drowning can cause extensive brain damage to the child/adult and produces overwhelming heartache to parents that often lead to blame, guilt, and divorce. When families cannot handle the 24/7 care needed for their child, Hacienda provides a loving environment with exceptional 24/7 care from family-like staff who are the nurses, doctors, and care-givers. Hacienda provides a continuum of care for infants, children, teens, and young adults who are medically fragile, chronically ill, and may have developmental disabilities. Sierra and her husband Don enjoy international travel, health & physical fitness, and being with their children. Sierra’s passions include helping people, practicing her faith, participating in sports, travel, self-development, business, and studying the bible.
