Jill Ruot

Jill Ruot has been working in Recreation for over 14 years; the past 3 as a Recreation Coordinator for Fitness and Aquatics with the City of Apache Junction, Arizona. She began working for the city as a Pool Manager/Rec Leader III in 2005. Ruot received her Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor certifications through the American Red Cross in 1998 and obtained her Lifeguard Instructor certification in 2006. She was certified though the Aquatic Exercise Association for 7 years and has taught many styles of Aqua classes including Aqua Jocks, Deep Water and Arthritis classes. She began her aquatics journey at the YMCA in Fargo, ND as a part time job in college. Her education includes a BS in Exercise Science. She is very active in the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association, Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona and the Association of Aquatics Professionals.

Jill is a fitness enthusiast and enjoys outdoor activities such as swimming, running and mountain biking, as well as painting, reading and traveling. She is an avid motorcyclist; touring the beautiful Southwest with her husband at every opportunity pos
