Tina Gerola

Board Member

Tina Gerola has been serving as the Community Risk Reduction Specialist for the Superstition Fire & Medical District since 2004. She manages prevention and community outreach programs, including fire and life safety inspections public education, and volunteers. She’s an integral part of the continued success of the Annual April Pools Day event, where water safety education and materials are provided to over 500 people. She works closely with the City of Apache Junction Aquatics Department, preschools, apartment complexes, multi-family housing communities, older adults, and local businesses, to bring awareness to those at most risk.

Tina is a State of Arizona Certified Fire Inspector, Fire & Life Safety Educator III, and Youth Fire Setter Intervention Specialist II. She has attended Leadership Strategies for Community Risk Reduction, Cultural Competence in Risk Reduction, and Community Education Leadership training at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg, Maryland. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Northern Arizona University, and a Board of Directors seat on the Drowning Prevention Coalition of Arizona.
