Dawn is the Recreation and Aquatics Supervisor for the City of Sedona. Her original career path was in the legal profession where she was a paralegal working on attaining her Juris Doctorate degree. in 2004, she decided to make a career change and accepted a position to work in her town's parks and recreation department to oversee events and the public pool operations. This introduced her to a new world of serving those in her community and she's never looked back. Running the town’s public pool, she discovered her passion to work with the community youth, making it a personal priority to mentor young people to become great leaders and responsible educators in the world of aquatics.

Growing up in rural northern Arizona, Dawn discovered her love for water visiting the popular swimming holes on the Verde River. Her family spent weekends and holidays on the river banks throughout the Verde Valley leading to her love for water and outdoor activities. Her and her husband of 28 years enjoy spending their down time camping and kayaking on various bodies of water throughout the state.
