About Us

The Drowning Prevention Coalition is a community based organization that exists to provide a forum to prevent drowning and water-related incidents through education, legislative action and enhanced product safety.

Through research and years of practice, we have learned that preventing drowning is a three-pronged approach:

BLOCK: It is important to put barriers between children and water to help slow or prevent access.

WATCH: Eye-to-eye supervision with children around all bodies of water is key.

LEARN: Take CPR classes and teach children to swim at the appropriate age.

We welcome your participation in our coalition. Please join us at one of our general meetings or at one of our member’s events. Check the calendar for the latest dates!
